This small volume is the only comprehensive look at Edwin Romanzo Elmer, who was a very active artist around 1900, but about whom little is truly known. Some reconizable artistic subjects are in and around Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts, where he and his family spent a great deal of time. This book includes a biography, research about his influences and career, and a checklist of known works- 58 of which were in the exhibition held at Smith College Museum of Art at the time of publication.
